ICOS Science Conference 2024 is almost here, and we look forward to welcoming you, whether online or on-site at the Versailles Palais des Congrés. As the conference draws near, why not take a moment to ensure you’re fully prepared?

Below is a short checklist to help you get ready for the conference week.

1. Final moments to register - for presenters, at least!

The deadline for presenter registration is 28th August 2024, 23:59 CEST.

For attendees who are not presenting, registration remains open until the end of the event. However, to help the organizers accurately estimate the number of participants, we kindly recommend that all attendees register by 28th August.

Register for the conference here.

2. Upload your presentation

ICOS Science Conference 2024 is a fully hybrid event - you can deliver your presentation, attend sessions and ask questions all virtually. For this reason, the on-site AV team require the presentations in advance to ensure all sessions run smoothly. Therefore, all presenters are obliged to upload their presentation in advance. Abstract submitters have been sent a unique presentation upload link to upload their presentation.

The deadline for uploading your presentation is 3rd September 2024, 23:59 CEST.

See instructions about uploading your presentation here.

3. Plan your days – Get to know the programme in advance

This year’s ICOS Science Conference programme is bigger than ever. Spanning three fully-packed days, the programme features over 470 presentations across 10 plenary sessions, 16 poster sessions, and 32 parallel sessions.

To build your own daily schedule, we recommend using the Oxford Abstracts online programme builder, available on our website. It allows you to bookmark your favourites and search by presentation titles, presenter names, and keywords.

4. Log in to the online platform – link coming soon in your inbox!

Presentations at ICOS Science Conference will be streamed online through an online platform, through which both on-site and online participants can also ask questions and otherwise interact with the presenters and each other.

Links to the platform will be emailed to all attendees before the event. You can log in and familiarise yourself with platform as soon as you receive the link, so be sure to check your inbox a few days prior to the event.

5. Join the social events and the excursions

As always, the ICOS Science Conference begins on Monday, the day before the main event, with an Ice Breaker at the Versailles Palais des Congrés. We invite all on-site conference attendees to reconnect with colleagues and forge new connections over some complimentary drinks. You can also pick up your name badge on that day to avoid the rush on Tuesday morning.

On Friday, after the conference, you have a unique opportunity to participate in excursions to an ICOS station or thematic centre. These excursions are a fantastic way to learn more about ICOS measurements and to meet some of the people behind them. Plus, the locations of the stations are often breathtakingly beautiful.

Learn more about the excursions and book your spot now.
