Registration for the 8th ICOS Summer School open

09 September 2024
Modelling and other practical exercises during the ICOS Summer School

In 2025 ICOS will organise the already 8th edition of the ICOS Summer School. It will be held at the completely renewed facilities of the Hyytiälä forest field station in Finland from Monday 5 May until Thursday 15 May 2025.

It is open for any interested student from final year of Master to Postdoc level; but also engineers and scientists from the ICOS network are welcome. We especially welcome participants from candidate or recent ICOS member states. As always we will cover the breath of carbon cycle and climate change relevant to ICOS, across the domains, with some emphasis on measurement techniques and practical work on data management and modelling. No costs are associated with the Summer School thanks to our sponsors ICOS, Helsinki University, the NUBICOS and the EYE-CLIMA project. Please note that you will need to arrange and cover for your own travel costs to/from Helsinki. From Helsinki we will arrange bus transport to/from Hyytiälä.

Application is open until 1 December 2024. Decision on participation will be communicated before Christmas 2024. More information and an application form can be found at the link below.

The space is limited to 35 students so make sure your motivation to attend is clear (in 200-5000 characters).
