After two years of no in person events, we are happy to announce that some of the ICOS Head Office and the wider community are back in Vienna this week for the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly. ICOS Head Office is organising the ENVRI community lunch talks at the ENVRI booth in the on site expo area, don’t miss out on hearing how ICOS data can be used for novel research.
This year, as in previous years we are hoping the ENVRI booth can act as an informal hub for people to meet up in person again. We have organised informal lunch talks independent of the official conference programme to give our community members a chance to showcase new developments and highlights from their Research Infrastructures or projects. Emmanuel Salmon, the head of ICOS SIC unit will be giving a talk on the effects of the covid19 lockdown on the greenhouse has emissions in the summer of 2020 – a community wide research study that was published in earlier this year and used data from many ICOS research stations.
You can see the full list of lunch talk schedule on the event page, but for most up to date information, please follow the @ENVRIcomm and @ICOS_RI twitter accounts.
We are looking forward to a busy but exciting week of science and collaboration!
