ICOS Belgium Science Conference
Date: 20th October 2017
Location: University of Liège, Gembloux, Belgium
ICOS Belgium Science Conference will present an overview of the ongoing scientific activities in the ICOS Belgium Network, explore the array of research topics possible with the data and in-situ at the measurement stations, and foster collaboration with the scientific community interested in greenhouse gas observations on land, in the oceans and in the air.
The Science Conference invites participants to submit contributions focussed on the use of the ICOS data as well as on interesting collaborations and scientific research possibilities at the ICOS Research Infrastructure.
The Conference will also include a visit to the Lonzée ecosystem station on the agricultural crop land. Meteorological variables and greenhouse gas fluxes have been monitored in Lonzée since 2004 and the station is the first ICOS station that has been completely standardized according to the ICOS requirements.
The National Observation Network of Belgium consists of 6 ecosystems stations, 3 marine observation platforms and 1 atmospheric observatory.
The ICOS Belgium Science Conference is jointly organized by the University of Liège (ULG) and the ICOS BE Focal Point (University of Antwerp).
Registration deadline: Friday 1 September 2017
Registration to the event is free of charge
