Maggie Hellström is working on how ICOS Carbon Portal can use services from EUDAT to set up an efficient and comprehensive data handling solution. In an interview, she shares her insights on this cooperation.
ICOS is bringing together data from the atmospheric, ecosystem and oceanic greenhouse gas research communities. While the thematic centers are collecting a vast amount of data about the carbon balance in Europe, the role of the ICOS Carbon Portal is to catalog, store, and make it accessible. These services demand safe and efficient data handling all the way, and the work to set this up is now in full swing. Maggie Hellström, the ICOS communuity representative in EUDAT, explains our plans and progress in an interview with EUDAT News.
