ICOS ERIC launch at COP21 conference, 1 December 2015

ICOS presents itself at Paris Climate Conference
ICOS ERIC has now been adopted by the European Commission on Monday 26 October 2015! After offical publication by the EU and the Finnish Government (ICOS Head-Office is in Finland) ICOS will have the special legal status of ERIC: European Research Infrastructure Consortium. ICOS will be the 12th ERIC in Europe. It has been a long road since the first white paper on ICOS for ESFRI selection in 2005.
On the 21st Conference of the Parties in Paris on December 1st, 12:15, ICOS will organise a side event at the Nordic Pavillion. We will present ICOS, its facilities and the Carbon Portal, followed by a forum discussion on the potential for verification of emission reductions through observations through networks like ICOS.
