Past ICOS Science Conferences
ICOS has organised Science Conferences every other year since 2014.
The 5th ICOS Science Conference was held virtually from 13th - 15th September 2022 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and online. The overarching theme of the conference was "Tracking progress to carbon neutrality”.

The 4th ICOS Science Conference was held virtually from 15th to Thursday 17th of September 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic. The overall, overarching theme of the conference was "Knowledge for shaping the future – understanding the Earth's biogeochemical processes”.

The 3rd ICOS Science Conference 2018 gathered over 300 scientists and other stakeholders to the Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague from 11th to 13th of September 2018. The theme of the conference was "Knowledge for shaping the future – understanding our Earths’ biogeochemical processes”. The #ICOScapes Photo Exhibition, which presents beautiful photographs of ICOS stations and scientists working at the stations, was opened during the conference.

The 2nd ICOS Science Conference was held in Helsinki, Finland from 27th to 29th of September 2016. The conference gathered scientists to discuss the timely topics in the greenhouse gas research, biogeochemical cycles, climate change and future research challenges after COP21.
The first ICOS Science Conference was organised in Brussels, Belgium from 23rd to 25th of September 2014.
