1. Introduction

The ERIC Forum invites proposals from qualified service providers to design and develop an online knowledge-sharing and reporting platform. This platform will centralize information on European Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs), facilitating improved collaboration, visibility, and data aggregation.

2. Project Background

ERICs are vital to the European Research Area, promoting scientific collaboration and addressing societal challenges. Despite their contributions, information on ERICs is often fragmented. This project seeks to consolidate data and enhance transparency through a user-centric platform that integrates existing datasets.

3. Objectives

• Develop a centralized, user-friendly platform for ERIC-related data.
• Facilitate efficient reporting, monitoring, and visibility of ERIC activities.
• Enhance data findability, interoperability, and reusability.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data privacy standards.

4. Scope of Work

The selected vendor will:

1. Analyze the provided user stories and data templates.
2. Develop a modular backend and responsive frontend.
3. Ensure seamless integration with the existing ERIC Forum website.
4. Implement features for data aggregation, visualization, and export.
5. Provide user management tools with varying levels of access.
6. Deliver training and technical documentation for platform administrators.

5. Technical Requirements

• Backend: Support for API-driven data ingestion and modular scalability.
• Frontend: Responsive design ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
• Data Management: Tools for uploading, updating, and managing data.
• Search & Visualization: Advanced search and filtering capabilities.
• Privacy Compliance: GDPR adherence and secure user authentication.

6. Deliverables

1. Functional requirements document and system architecture.
2. Beta version of the platform for testing.
3. Finalized platform ready for deployment.
4. User manual for future development work and training materials.

7. Timeline

The project is expected to commence immediately after contract award and be completed within 12 months. Key milestones include:

• Month 3: Functional requirements approval.
• Month 6: Beta platform delivery.
• Month 12: Final deployment.

8. Budget and Payment Terms

The total available budget is €60,000. Payment will be released in installments linked to milestone completion.

9. Proposal Requirements

Proposals should include:

1. Company profile, relevant experience, references and examples of similar projects.
2. Detailed technical approach and project plan.
3. Cost breakdown.

10. Evaluation Criteria

Evaluation criteria are outlined in the Request for Proposal document linked.
