THE TOPIC AND SPEAKER: Anais Fabre is a French PhD candidate based at Griffith University in Brisbane (Australia) within the  School of Environment and Science and the Cities Research Institute. Her research examines whether hosting the Olympics can serve as a catalyst for cities to decarbonise their transport systems. She is currently conducting fieldwork in Paris, as a part of her case studies, focusing on how urban transport can contribute to the International Olympic Committee's climate commitments to halve emissions from the Paris 2024 Games compared to previous editions.

ICOS Cities Talks is a webinar series on greenhouse gas measurement and climate change in urban landscapes. In the series, international experts representing various fields will present a current topic for 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A session and a discussion. Check out all the ICOS Cities talks here!
