11 December 2024
ICOS Cities project

The Urban Greenhouse Gas Conference and Stakeholder Summit will take place at the WMO premises in Geneva, Switzerland and online 7-9 April 2025.

The conference is jointly organised by the WMO Integrated Global Greenhouse Gas Information System and the ICOS Cities project.

The first two days will be a mix of scientific sessions where urban greenhouse gas researchers present their latest findings in oral and poster presentations, interspersed with workshop sessions where we review and finalise the draft IG3IS Urban Good Practice Guidelines. The last day is specifically intended to connect science and stakeholders.

Abstract submission open now

We kindly invite you to register for the conference and submit an abstract through the following form (available also on the conference website): https://forms.office.com/e/x8EiritTjM

The deadline for registration and abstract submission is 31 January 2025 (non-extendable).

The most recent version of the IG3IS Urban Good Practice Guidelines will be made available on the conference website Urban Greenhouse Gas Conference and Stakeholder Summit 2025 | World Meteorological Organization on 24th December 2024. We strongly encourage you to study the document prior to the conference as it will be discussed and finalised during the meeting.

We encourage abstracts that demonstrate case studies of the implementation of urban greenhouse gas information and links to policy outcomes, as well as urban greenhouse gas method specific abstracts that align with one or more chapters of the IG3IS Urban Good Practice Guidelines.
