The Urban Greenhouse Gas Conference and Stakeholder Summit has just kicked off at the WMO headquarters in Geneva with close to 300 participants onsite and online. The conference, jointly organised by ICOS Cities and IG3IS, is gathering scientists and city stakeholders from all across the globe 7-9 April.
The first two days are dedicated to presenting the latest science on urban emissions and the third day is for connecting city stakeholders and scientists. We will have several interesting presentations from ICOS Cities scientists showcasing the latest findings in the project - check out a few examples below:
A conceptual prototype of a dashboard for visualising and assessing gridded GHG impacts in municipal settings by Tatu Marttila, Aalto University, Service Designer
Advanced monitoring of urban biogenic carbon sinks across urban green spaces by Leena Järvi, University of Helsinki
Building urban monitoring systems - from network design to emission quantification by Sanam Vardag, Heidelberg University
